LA CASE ROBINSON, FROM PROJECT TO REALITY

Eric Detraz is passionate about travelling. During his travels, he noticed that some accommodations did not take into account the ecological aspect and the fauna and flora of a territory. After a lifetime as a reinforced concrete engineer and director of his own company, he decided to start his own business. His project: to open an establishment on a human scale, combining comfort and respect for the environment in order to preserve the authenticity of the place as much as possible.

After several trips to the Indian Ocean, he discovered the island of Mayotte. He immediately fell in love with the island: a very welcoming population, a preserved nature and an extraordinary marine park. After exploring the island, Gouela beach proved to be the ideal location for his project. His knowledge in the field of construction allowed him to build a hotel in compliance with the regulations in force, while preserving the site from heavy work in order to protect the local fauna and flora.

By promoting local resources, networking local professionals, preserving and enhancing the heritage, La Case Robinson is committed to the development of sustainable and responsible tourism with the aim of offering a unique experience in harmony with the place and its spirit.

La Case Robinson will open its doors in September 2020, ready to welcome all travellers wishing to discover the beautiful island of Mayotte, its culture and its territory.
